I try to watch me in the mirror

just the way I used to do before, 

there’s a shadow that surrounds me

as I stand up back to the wall.

Now I don’t know where I’ll go

in this foggy morning,

who will show me the way

when the sun won’t light up the road.

Everyday life, things to do

all the steps I hit the ground;

in the ears of all the children

there’s a mother’s song that sounds. 

I will do what I’ll do

in this rumbling world, today.

I’ll fall asleep in your eyes

when the crowd will fade away.

A sudden lightening, in the blue sky

yeah, I know they’re not the clouds: 

it’s your finger tryin’ to touch me 

helpless man, while you’re that proud.

I smile: you’re always that same,

the one who never compromises;

you’ll be always with me 

everytime the sun arises.
